About

A wallet with a spine.

Monero Wallet was built because the world does not need another exchange dressed up as a wallet. It needs tools that respect the original promise of cryptocurrency — self-sovereign money, impossible to censor and impossible to surveil.

Monero and Zano are the two networks we believe most fully honor that promise. Monero is the longest-running production-grade privacy chain in existence. Zano extends the same lineage with confidential assets, hybrid consensus, and a modular escrow layer. Together they cover the spectrum of private value that a person might reasonably want to hold.

Monero Wallet is non-custodial. We never take custody of your funds. We do not run a company wallet, a bridge, an exchange, or a "recovery service." The app talks directly to Monero and Zano nodes — yours if you want, ours or the community's if you don't — and signs transactions on your device.

We take no telemetry, ask for no accounts, and require no identifying information. There is nothing to log in to because there is nothing to log.

Our principles

  • Self-custody or nothing. If we hold your keys, we've already failed.
  • Privacy is not a feature. It is the product.
  • Open source is non-negotiable. You cannot trust what you cannot inspect.
  • No dark patterns. The app never nudges you toward custodial services.
