Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Monero Wallet ("the App") you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Nature of the service

Monero Wallet is a non-custodial software wallet that lets you generate keys, sign transactions, and interact with the Monero and Zano blockchains from your device. We are not a bank, broker, exchange, money transmitter, or custodian. We never hold your private keys or your funds and cannot access, freeze, reverse, or recover them.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your seed phrase and device.
• You are responsible for verifying every recipient address before sending.
• You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction regarding cryptocurrency.
• You accept that transactions on Monero and Zano are irreversible.

4. Risks

Cryptocurrencies carry significant risk, including total loss of value. Software may contain bugs. Network conditions may cause delays. You use the App at your own risk.

5. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Monero Wallet or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of funds, profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.

7. License

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, or on an Android device.

8. Apple-specific EULA terms

The following applies to use of the App obtained from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Monero Wallet only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• The license granted is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, per the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Prohibited use

You agree not to use the App for any unlawful activity, or in violation of sanctions or export controls applicable to you.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where local law requires otherwise.
