Summary

Monero Wallet ("Monero Wallet", "we", "us") is a non-custodial mobile wallet for the Monero and Zano cryptocurrencies. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data about you.We have no accounts, no analytics, and no servers that hold your keys or funds.

1. Data we do not collect

In line with Apple App Store privacy requirements and our own principles, Monero Wallet does not collect any of the following:

  • Contact info (name, email, phone, address).
  • Identifiers (user ID, device ID, advertising ID).
  • Usage data, product interaction, or diagnostics that could identify you.
  • Location data (precise or coarse).
  • Financial info such as balances, transaction history, or payment details tied to your identity.
  • Contacts, photos, health, or any sensitive information.

Apple's App Privacy label for Monero Wallet is therefore "Data Not Collected."

2. Data stored on your device

The following stays exclusively on your device, encrypted using the platform keystore (iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore):

  • Your wallet seed phrases and private keys.
  • Your address book and transaction cache.
  • App settings such as node selection and currency preferences.

We never receive, back up, or have access to this data. If you uninstall the app without exporting your seed phrase, the funds may be permanently unrecoverable.

3. Network connections

To function, the wallet must communicate with Monero and Zano nodes to broadcast transactions and retrieve blockchain state. By default the app connects to community-run public nodes. You may configure your own node at any time.

The operators of these nodes may observe your IP address and general request patterns. We recommend enabling the built-in Tor routing option to mitigate this. Monero Wallet itself does not log, aggregate, or receive any information about these connections.

4. On-chain data

Monero and Zano are public, decentralized networks. Transactions are broadcast to the respective blockchain. Both protocols employ strong privacy techniques (ring signatures, stealth addresses, confidential amounts) so that transaction contents remain private. Monero Wallet does not add any additional identifiers to on-chain transactions.

5. Third-party services

Monero Wallet does not embed third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking technologies of any kind. The app does not use App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you.

6. Children

Monero Wallet is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Because we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. You retain complete control of all data on your device and may reset the app to remove it at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy we will publish the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app itself.
